About Me
Shelly Ritchie, is a Licensed Psychological Practitioner, who earned my Masters’ of Arts in
Clinical Psychology at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky in 1993. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient services.
I have 25 years of experience in diagnostic
and psycho-educational testing. I specialize in treating an array of adult and children mental
health diagnoses.
I use Bible based counseling that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am a Christian and long time member of Rose
Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Ashland, Kentucky. All of my therapies and treatments are based on Biblical
principles intermixed with clinically sound psychological techniques. I am the
owner of East Kentucky Psychological Resources, which is the premier preferred provider for
psycho-educational assessments in numerous school districts in the eastern Kentucky area. East Kentucky Psychological Resources (EKPR) has provided intellectual assessments as well as
diagnostic assessments, such as assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and
Learning Disabilities since 2004.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Richard for nearly 33 years. I have two sons
who are married to two wonderful ladies and one grandchild. In my free time I spend my time at church,
working on Bible studies, spending time with family and friends and playing with my
four dogs.

Fees and Insurance information
EKPR does not bill insurance. I prefer to tailor my sessions to what the client actually wants and needs rather than what an insurance company dictates. Payments are due at the time of service. Clients can pay in cash or with a credit card.

*Additional time is subject to additional fees.

.One-half of the Fee is required on the first day of assessment, with the
rest being due when the report is finished at the feedback session.
